Affiliated Tribes of Northwest Indians Economic Development Corp. (ATNI EDC) AEDC is working in partnership with Affiliated Tribes of Northwest Indians Economic Development Corp. (ATNI EDC) to implement the State Small Business Credit Initiative ("SSBCI Program"), a grant of $13.6M. While ATNI EDC is providing administration, oversight, reporting, and support services in compliance with the SSBCI grant program, AEDC will work with local participating tribes -- including Karuk, Blue Lake, Hoopa, Wiyot, Bear River, Trinidad, Blue Lagoon, Resighni and Tolowa Dee-Ni' -- to help them access the funding through the program in partnership with ANTI EDC.

 

Avivar CapitalAvivar is an impact investor that is the conduit to California Wellness. AEDC received California Wellness’s first Program Related Investment Funding. A PRI is money loaned to organizations that serve a specific community need at below market-rate. Those who receive the funds are able to use them to invest in individual community projects, enabling the foundation to utilize their money to further their overarching mission, as well.

 

California Center for Rural Policy (CCRP) – CCRP will be the convener for Redwood Region RISE funding, working in collaboration with AEDC on the $5M planning grant and the $14M Catalyst Grant. They also partner with the Child Care Stabilization Fund by doing research for Child Care Champions. 

 

Community Development Services – CDS is a community development project management organization in Lake County. They provide guidance and technical assistance to small and mid-size businesses, as well as city, county, and nonprofit entities. They are a connector with projects in Lake County, and Mendocino.

 

Community Vision Capital and ConsultantsFormerly the Northern California Community Loan Fund, Community Vision Capital is a CDFI that partnered with AEDC on the Hoopa Grocery Store and is available for more large community development projects.

 

Economic Development Financing Corporation (EDFC)EDFC is a business development CDFI in Mendocino County that is similar to AEDC, but whose region is Lake and Mendocino Counties. A collaborative relationship has led to funding partnerships and shared expertise.

 

Greenway Partners A project management corporation in Humboldt County. Greenway provides leads for community development and large business projects that need funding and works on grants with AEDC on other economic based projects such as looking into the feasibility of a meat processing facility.

 

Headwaters FundThe Headwaters Fund is a source, a well-spring of funding for economic development projects in Humboldt County. Their goal is to make Humboldt County a more prosperous place to live. AEDC works with the Headwaters Fund as a funding partner, but also works with them on a variety of economic development initiatives.

 

Humboldt Area Foundation/Wild Rivers Community FoundationFor many years, the Humboldt Area Foundation has been a funding partner with AEDC. In the past couple years, that relationship has grown to become a more active partner in building capital capacity in the region.  WRCF is the part of HAF that serves Del Norte County.

 

Jefferson Economic Development Institute/Women’s Business CenterThis is a technical assistance organization in Siskiyou that can serve the TA needs of businesses and send those ready for loans in our direction. We also co-host webinars with the Women’s Business Center.

 

Lake County EDC – Lake EDC connects public and private sector interests, assists entrepreneurs with many facets of doing business from the design phase to the exit strategy, and collaborates with traditional lenders to identify financing for businesses.

 

North Coast Opportunities (NCO) North Coast Opportunities is a Community Action Agency who does a great deal of community organizing. They are a partner in the Redwood Region RISE outreach and engagement team.

 

North Coast Small Business Development CenterThis is the business technical service organization for Humboldt and Del Norte Counties. They provide workshops and advising to our clients, both before and after receiving funding, allowing AEDC to focus on funding as our primary service.

 

Planwest PartnersPlanwest Partners is a project management corporation that specializes in community, land use, environmental, and economic planning services. They can provide leads on community development projects that need funding and have worked with AEDC as a grant partner for economic development projects in the past, including a community strategic plan in Southern Humboldt. They have worked with AEDC on our last two strategic plans.

 

Rural Communities Assistance Corporation (RCAC)RCAC’s mission is to provide training, technical and financial resources and advocacy so rural communities can achieve their goals. They partnered with AEDC to fund the Hoopa Grocery store and can be available for other projects.

 

Redwood Region Economic Development Commission (RREDC)RREDC is a Joint Powers Authority that provides business lending services in Humboldt County only. AEDC works collaboratively on funding projects and economic development projects.

 

True North Organizing Network True North Organizing Network supports families, elders and youth of diverse faith traditions, races, cultures, and economic capacities. AEDC is working with True North to expand their capacity to include funding for community development projects. True North will also be working with CCRP and NCO on the CERF planning grant.

 

The West Business Development CenterThis is the technical assistance organization in Mendocino, with locations in Ukiah and Fort Bragg.

 

Yurok EDC The Economic Development arm of the Yurok Tribe, this organization is also a CDFI. Ross Welch served on their board for several years before he termed out. They continue to work with us on projects that are outside of their funding ability.
